Zainab Arian announced as substantive Chief Executive Officer of GP Care Group

Zainab took up the Interim CEO position following the departure of Tracy Cannell and Chris Banks who stepped down in March as Joint Chief Executives of the Care Group.
Since April, Zainab, who joined the Care Group more than six years ago as Director of Finance, has provided leadership and stability to our organisation through various changes and transformations across the healthcare system.
Dr Simon Brownleader, Chair of GP Care Group, said: “We are delighted to announce the decision to formally appoint Zainab to the substantive post of Care Group Chief Executive Officer, following a thorough and rigorous process.
“In the months since she took on the interim CEO position, Zainab has served as a trusted and reliable force within the organisation and the wider health system, continuing to build on the Care Group’s mission to deliver quality care to our residents in the boroughs that we serve.”
Commenting on the appointment, Zainab said: “I feel honoured to have been appointed substantively to the position of CEO.
"I look forward to continuing working with our amazing workforce, healthcare partners, membership GP practices and local residents to deliver the very best care and services to the communities that we serve."
Prior to taking on the CEO position, Zainab has amassed a wealth of experience and proven ability to succeed in a 16-year career, during which she has worked in both private and public sector companies.
