‘Your Say, Your Day’ Events to be Held for East London Recovery College
The borough’s vision of a seamless health and care experience for its citizens.
The new-look Recovery College for east London is inviting members of the community to attend events and have their say in how it will run
The Trust’s recovery college provides free educational workshops and courses for the community across City & Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. These are designed and delivered by people who have lived experiences of mental health challenges.
The college has moved to a central base of 86 Old Montague Street, Whitechapel, London E1 5NN and will continue to deliver courses within all three boroughs.
The service employs, trains and works alongside local people, honouring lived experience, expertise, and community partnerships.
Recovery colleges represent and are shaped by the communities they serve through co-production. At the drop-in events, the community will have the chance to meet the team, learn more about the model and provide thoughts on how the needs of service users continue to be met.
Community-based colleagues across east London are asked to share details of ‘Your Say, Your Day’ events with service users who may be interested in attending. Community organisations in City & Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets are also invited to share this with clients and contacts.
